The Byodo-In Temple (located in the Valley of the Temples Memorial Park) is a replica of the Japanese temple with the same name and has a stunning backdrop of the Ko'olau mountains. While you are there visit the meditation pavilion, ring the Sacred bell (Bon Sho) 3 times for good luck before entering the temple (remove your shoes out of respect) to see the Glass-Front Niches and light incense. Don't forget to feed the Koi fish. There is a small entry fee, it is recommended to allow around 45 minutes to explore the grounds.

Visit the Dole Plantation and ride the Pineapple Express Train, tour the Plantation Garden and try to escape the Pineapple Garden Maze. While you are there try the world-famous Dole Soft Serve (highly recommend the Pineapple Dole Whip with fresh pineapple) or other pineapple goodies.
